The Palmetto Palace relies on a team of dedicated volunteers to provide a high level of service to the community and explore fundraising opportunities to help further our mission and reach. We are currently seeking individuals for the following volunteer positions. Free Dental Day Volunteer Opportunities

We’re calling on dental professionals, medical support teams, and community volunteers to help make this event possible. Whether you are a dentist, hygienist, student, translator, or just someone ready to serve—we have a place for you.

We are thrilled to invite you to be part of something impactful! The Palmetto Palace is hosting its First Annual Free Dental Day to provide no-cost cleanings, fillings, extractions, and oral health education to over 500 patients in need from Orangeburg County and surrounding areas.

Orangeburg Day of Hope Volunteer Opportunities

We need the support of dedicated volunteers to help make our July 19, 2025 event in Orangeburg a success. Opportunities include:

• Greeting community members at the gate

• Distributing free groceries

• Signing up community members for onsite services

• Keeping the portable restroom trailers clean and stocked

• Replenishing drink barrels with ice and beverages throughout the fairgrounds

• Assisting with event parking

• Assisting with parking for the car show

In 2023, over 4,000 community members attended the Day of Hope, and we expect an even greater turnout this year. That’s why we are starting early to spread the word on as many platforms as possible to ensure the message reaches those who need these services the most.

We can’t wait to see the community come together once again for this amazing day of hope, resources, and support. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us!

Chicora Community Choice Market Volunteer Opportunities

Our community choice market is now open at the Gussie Green Community Center in North Charleston the 1st and 2nd Saturday of each month. This vital initiative provides fresh food options with dignity and choice. Volunteers are needed to:

• Stock and restock shelves

• Assist patrons while they shop

• Support scheduled clinics by helping patients complete applications

• Serve as Spanish bilingual volunteers to assist non-English speakers

Mobile Education Lab Volunteer Opportunities

Our forthcoming education lab on wheels is in the works! We are actively looking for volunteers to:

• Read to students

• Assist students on computers
