Offering Residents of the Southern end of North Charleston its first “Choice” Food Pantry allowing residents to choose the foods they need to help supplement their nutrition and reduce food insecurity. Open the 1st and 2nd Saturday of each month.

Who We Serve

This pantry will serve any resident of the Southern end of North Charleston, regardless of their income or family status. Due to space limitations this pantry is designed to supplement a resident's nutritional needs during the month and not designed to be their only source to obtaining nutritional food.

How it Works

The pantry is set up like a grocery store with items sorted and placed on shelves. After signing in, residents will use a cart or basket to pick up the items they need. When done, a volunteer will help bag the items and if needed, load them in their car.

What to Expect on the Shelves

  • Milk, juice, and baby items

NEW! We are excited to announce that the Community Choice Pantry will soon expand to a new location at the Former Rivelon Elementary School in Orangeburg, SC. Starting August 16th, in addition to our North Charleston location, we will also be serving the Orangeburg community every 3rd Saturday from 9 AM – 3 PM.
